Restore problem

Hi
I am trying to restore the original programs on to my compaque computer, but for some reason I am not able to complete it. At its propt, I did reformat the hard drive and at the prompt of rebooting, it scrolls few screens and everything goes blank. I appriciate any help in this regard. :tazz:

Is this for 98 or XP

Did / does the PC have a recovery partition

Do you have recovery or OEM OS CD's

Does it say, invalid disk system

Hi keith
Thanks for the response. I came home and saw your response and I started checking all the information you neede. Meanwhile I re-booted from the windows startup disk which I found incidentally and I was able to restore the program from the original manufactureres disk.
