Hi. I am yet another victim of the WinFixer 2005 popup. It comes up between every few minutes to what seems like all the time.

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

• Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files
• This will create a VundoFix folder on your desktop.
• After the files are extracted, please reboot your computer into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.
• Once in safe mode open the VundoFix folder and doubleclick on KillVundo.bat
• You will first be presented with a warning.

You have PowerReg Scheduler in your log. This is a registration reminder that is used by a number of different companies. It is not needed and some people think that it reports back to the company about your computer, so I suggest fixing it... Rescan with HJT and check the box next to this:

Close all windows except HJT and click Fix Checked.

Then, please run this online virus scan: ActiveScan

Copy the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a new HiJackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder into this topic.

Go to Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and uninstall these programs:

WinFixer
SurfAccuracy
WhenU (WhenUSave)

Then rescan with HJT and check the boxes next to the following items:

O2 - BHO: MSEvents Object - {827DC836-DD9F-4A68-A602-5812EB50A834} - C:\WINDOWS\msagent\chars\tcpinet.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NI.UWFX5] "C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\Desktop\WinFixer2005ScannerInstall.exe"
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SurfAccuracy] C:\Program Files\SurfAccuracy\SAcc.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [WhenUSave] "C:\Program Files\Save\Save.exe"
O20 - Winlogon Notify: tcpinet - C:\WINDOWS\msagent\chars\tcpinet.dll (file missing)

Close all open windows except HJT and click Fix Checked.

Delete these folders:

C:\Program Files\SurfAccuracy
C:\Program Files\Save

Reboot and post a new HJT log.

Surf Accuracy will not delete from the program files.

I did get rid of save.
