[size=5] I did not realize my firwall was of for two weeks. When I tried to turn firewall on I lost all connection to the net. A clue on my IE address "res;shdoclc.DNS.ERROR.html ." My search said to use ''Winsock'' to fix my registry. Im using Firefox now, because my is still not connecting.
Heres a copy of my HJT Log, I used mabny programs reccommend to clean outm, but im sure the all will not fit on one message so heres my HJT.Log with all files unhidden and ''Restore'' off.

Lets start with this . There will be more work to do. Please post the hijack logs from now on from normal mode as safemode will not show me everything I need to see

Please download LQfix.exe from one of the following locations:

• http://www.downloads.subratam.org/LQfix.exe
  http://miekiemoes.geekstogo.com/tools/LQfix.exe
  
  
• Save it to your desktop.
• Double-Click LQfix.exe and click Next > Next > Install.
• Leave the default settings, if you change them, the fix will Fail!
• You need an active Internet Connection, so make sure your you're not blocking any connection now.
• Now make sure the "Launch LQfix" box is checked.
• Click the Finish button, after clicking the Finish button the fix will start.
• Follow the on-screen prompts.
• Your system will reboot afterwards.
• Please be patient after the reboot, there is a script running in the background that needs to complete.

Then do a scan with HiJackThis and post a new log by using Add Reply

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Reboot into safe mode.

Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.
Please remove these entries from Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel(if present):

Please note any other programs that you dont recognize in that list in your next response

Please delete these folders using Windows Explorer(if present):

C:\Program Files\DNS

After that, Reboot.

Please run this online virus scan:
Panda Active Scan You need to use Internet Explorer for this scan.

• Once you get to the Panda site, scroll down a bit and click on Scan your PC
• A new window will appear; click on Check Now!
• A new window will appear; fill in the boxes (Country, State, email addy)
• Click on Scan Now! >
  If you have never used ActiveScan before, you will be prompted to install an ActiveX control (asinst.cab) : click on Install. Panda will install the component, and then install the latest signature files.
• From "Select a device to scan...", choose "My Computer"
• Allow the scan to run. It'll take a while.
• When complete, click on "See Report", and then on "Save report"; save it to a convenient location.
• I will need you to post that report in your next reply; simply open the text file, then copy/paste the content here. Also post a new Hijack log

Im from ny loophole, Im on at night around 8 to sometimes early in the morning. When im a hunt for a computer problem times flies by ever so fast.
Was it really hard techinial things to learn to read n fuix a HJT log?

Not too bad learning this stuff. Only problem is the malware changes so fast anymore that you never stop learning which may be why I like this stuff. Maybe you should give it a shot if your interested .. they have a school here at GTG

Hi Loophole, I do like it very much when I can figure out the problem on my computer. I have Sygate freeware for 1 month. Im not impressed with it, And AVG anti-virus.
I did everything you instructed. And im back online.
Oh, the panda wouldnt scan. and I did click on download Active X. where does the downloaded Active X download to?
