I am loading a dozen new laptops (ACER TravelMate 2300, XP SP2). All are loaded identically. After a half-dozen successes, I now have one that, when I sign on as a limited user, gives me the message "Failed to get data fro SchemeAC". The message box is labeled epm and it only contains an OK button. When ok is pressed everything appears to work fine.

Acer sites are elusive

Found in different languages but not english

So try Acer
