i used ewido to get rid of adware and i accedintly deleted adware that was wrapped around another file. now every time i boot my computer up it says that i am missing compaq connections.exe app id seperator. my computer seems to be running fine but i just want that message to go away. is there any way to get that file back that i need. i have windows xp. thanks

Hi meggoman

All you need to do is:

Click Start/Run/msconfig and uncheck Compaq Connections, then reboot.
You will need to go to the "startup" tab on msconfig to find compaq connections

Hope it works

thanks for the help! Do you know what that app id seperator is and do i need it. And if i do need it do you know how i can get it back. if i dont need it and it doesnt effect my computer at all then nevermind and thanks for the help.
