:tazz: I have been working all day on a computer in my office that was loaded with spyware and distasteful content. I ran webroot, adaware, and spybot, and there is still a program that keeps adding adult sites to the favorites menu and search pages. Below is the log from HJT.....

Hi, I had this same bug and its about myfind4u.
You should fix the following lines for sure:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://www.thesearchs.com/search.html
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://myfind4u.com/index.htm
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://websearch.drs...esearch.cgi?id=
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://myfind4u.com/sp.htm
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch = http://websearch.drs...esearch.cgi?id=
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://myfind4u.com/index.htm

This wil reset your start page

O16 - DPF: {D8A8A7F1-53EF-41F2-B44D-F3E2E595DC27} - ms-its:mhtml:file://C:\MAIN.MHT!http://69.50.163.248...hm::/update.exe

This line is also involved and should be fixed, I found that in another topic and it was present on my machine.

The last thing you should find out is what is changing your internet explorer settings. my best guess is that this line is responsible:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [kztoedzhwf] C:\WINDOWS\System32\yuxrfn.exe

you can check this for yourself first. Go to the folder and activate the exe file AFTER you fixed the previous mentioned lines, then scan again with HJT and if myfind4u has returned then this is the one you need to fix.

There can be more files like this one in the same folder (same size, strange names) check them all and when you've got them all, fix all mentioned lines again with HJT. reboot in safe mode and delete the files from your system32 folder (can't be done in normel boot)

If done carefully you should have lost the bug.
