Hi, I downloaded a cracked version of Winamp 5.1 via bittorrent (stupid!) and am now paying the price. Upon startup a cmd window pops up along with a sidebar advertisement. I installed anti-vir and it finds the trojan "is.exe", this file then generates 6 files at the root of C. These files disable my internet surfing until I choose the repair option of the network connection and delete them.

Here are the 6 files "is.exe" generates:

low.exe
mmxateam.exe
tb.exe
xe.exe
zxvxx73.exe
sw.bat - contents:

@echo off

tb.exe
low.exe
xe.exe
mmotor.exe
mmxateam.exe
is.exe

exit

I have run killvundo.bat, but I still seem to have remnants of it too.

I appreciate your help. Thanks - Matt

I think I've fixed this problem.

In safe mode I disabled the service for lsass.exe which was in the windows directory....

Anyone else have any thoughts?
