Hello. So I have a Creative Inspire GD580 Speaker System. It is 5.1, system. See the link.

Not so long ago, my rear left speaker seased to work properly. :tazz: When I turn it on, it hisses, and then hissing stops and there is no sound. I did run internal speaker test, like the one without a PC, and it confirmed that the speaker is not working. About three weeks ago, the speaker began to work for a while, then stopped again. I have it plugged in to my Creative LS sound card, digital output. I also, have my other old PC plugged in to Analog. So when I am using my older PC, I just press the "analog", button.

Question: What may be a problem and how do I fix it? Thanks.

Since it stopped working, then worked for a bit and then stopped again, it is most likely that there is a loose wire somewhere in the speaker. Fixing this won't be easy and I really have no way of telling you how to do it since I have never repaired a speaker before.

There is a faint hissing in the speaker, which indicates that it gets juice. I htink there is something wrong with the box.
