I am such a moron! First I got the trojan 'downloader acv' while trying to figure out how to remove this, i managed to delete "my computer." I thought I was just deleting an extra short cut, but apparently I deleted the actual file. Then I went to system restore only to discover it was off!!! ohmigod! I'm freaking! What do I do???? :tazz: Help.

Hi Lealyn and welcome to the Geeks to Go Forums.

My name is Trevuren and I will be helping you with your log.

Your only option nows resides in an XP repair.

Try here

Windows XP repair feature won't delete your data, installed programs, personal information, or settings. It just repairs the operating system

Once you do this, we can look at whatever else needs doing

You will need to install everything from Microsoft Update after this
