I really don't know. It just says that Windows XP Professional is installing. There is bar underneath the statement that shows the transfering of files. Now my computer is randomly starting to reboot on its own.
Thanks for your reply.

To help us work out what is causing the random restart Turn off auto restart
- Control Panel/System/Advanced/Startup and recovery
- uncheck auto restart.
- Instead of Rebooting you should get a Blue Screen please post the STOP code here.
- Start < Run type eventvwr.msc
- Look form Errors in
- System and Application at time time you computer has the installer come up and also when the computer randomly Reboots
- Please post any errors you see here

I tried to run eventvwr.msc, but a message pops up with 'MMC requires Internet Explorer 5.5 or greater to be installed. I've installed Internet Explorer 6, but it still won't work.

Hi
0X0000008E tells me a lot. You have a RAM problem. Try removeing one peice of RAM at a time to try to see what one in causeing this error.
You might have to replace the peice of RAM with a new peice.
The installer on startup would be caused by something getting corrupt, we will fix that next.
