Hi flowergirl,

I don't think I can participate in this anymore. I just have too many things going on in my life..:

6:45 - 7:30 - Get ready for school
7:30 - 3 - School
3 - 5:30 or 9 - Wrestling or Hockey Practice
Whenever i get home - 11 - Dinner and Computer Time (It's too late to go out..my mom doesn't like me going out it the dark)

So My day is all full :)

Any ideas?

Ok thanks :tazz:

Because I can't handle any more exercise. We do 2 hours straight conditioning, with some wrestling thrown in!

Yeah its no fun when it hurts your lungs, i remember when i played hockey at school it was so cold some mornings as soon as you started running it hurt ALOT and we all had the metallic blood taste by the end of the match.

You shouldnt go running when its very cold its not good for you, i avoid running for the sake of running as it does go for your knees of you are tall and not one of those stick insect tall people, so if you are over 6 foot and arent stick thin, then be very careful run but dont do it too much as the taller you are the quicker your knees will wear out.

Shame you only get one set of knees, really puts a cramp on the fun. Right im gonna do some studying then ill walk the dog.

Hi everyone.
How are all of you, on our Geeks Outdoor Exercise team, doing?

The challenge ends the end of this month.

I must confess that I am doing TERRIBLE about getting outdoors.
I DON'T LIKE COLD WINTER. I LOVE to be outside in the Spring,
Summer and Fall working in my flower gardens for hours and hours.

I did make a nice snow 'mom' one day this week.
I will send it to Arctic boy and see if he can make it so I can post the
picture here.

How are the rest of you doing on your outdoor exercise?
Should we make a New Years Resolution to get outside each day?
If you think we should, I will start a new thread and we will post a
quick post EVERY day to make ourselves more accountable.

Love, Janie :tazz:

P.S. I know I did her ARMS kinda weird.
(Picture in previous post.)

One arm is made of snow and the other is made from a tree branch.
Oh well....next time I will do better and have the same
kind of arms. :tazz:

Hi 'Enzeru'.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to us.

It is special having a birthday on Janurary 1, isn't it?

Will you be going out for New Year's and to usher in your birthday as well?

We are babysitting our three little granddaughters so our daughter can
go out with friends...so that will be our fun night. :tazz:

My husband gave me some really pretty gold earrings, that dangle
down with engraved pictures of flowers. I like them.

I am not too crazy about being 60 but if I keep myself in good shape,
(like outdoor exercise), stay young at heart (like building snowmen)
eat healthy and look good (including makeup~lol~)
maybe SEXY SIXTY won't be so bad.

I forget how old you are...write again and tell some about yourself.

Well, I'm turning 19...
I finally get to go to college... Bush pretty much screwed me over in the Education Department. I don't know if you remember this but... When we were kids we would have to take what they called "Standardized(sp?)" testing. And it was frome Elementary to grade 11. And if you failed it you could move on, it didn't hault(stop) you from graduating. Well, they got rid of that and came out with test for every state as a part of Bush's No Child Left Behind, BS. So for instance, West Virginia has the (West Test), and Florida has the (FCAT), so each state named their test... and these test are much worse than the Standardized(sp?) test. On occasion some are easy since they change them every so often, just hope you get luck. Well, thing about these test is if you failed you do not get your diploma (Until you pass of course.). Well, I am from FL but moved to WV(in 6th grade)I toook the WEST Test and passed (since my class 10thgrade was the testing class) and we did the standardize test). So, I was good and senior year I had everything to graduate... but the last 9wks of school we moved back to FL. Well, I did well in high school here, got the highest grade in English passed all my semester finals(Although I was not there before). Turns out according to the rules here and in most states I had to take their form of the test. Well, I took the FCAT got above average on the reading comprehension/vocabulary. I took the Math test and was like one point from passing...( I took it in the summer). so that haulted my graduating (Although I had all the crap I needed to past and they so called
"graduated me under W.V.'s requirements"). I took the Math test again Sept 18... waited until the school's thanksgiving break and found out I passed with ABOVE AVERAGE this time and that was a lot better than the first time... because it was HIGHER (score). Now I get to move on to college... FINALLY.

And I'm doing nothing for my Birthday since all my friends are in W.V., Cali(college), and GA.... so I am stuck here to sob. But I got three new books to keep me busy for my major and exteneded learning...(although I'm not in school yet)... "The Essentioal Guide to Psychiatric Drugs"-by Jack M. Gorman, M.D.
"The Drive for Self(Alfred Adler and the Founding Individual Psychology)"-by Edward Hoffman, and "Unauthorized Freud(Doubters Confront a Legend)" -Fredrick C. Crews

Oh before I forget, what did I do all this time while not being in school? Well, I volunteer at a National Non-Profit Organization. And I read Psychology books in my pass time.

So, I guess you've learned a lot haha. Sorry to veer you off your original post.

beginning someday, 10-10-04 and probably for the rest of my life.
