For all of you that live in warmer climates, you should be SO THANKFUL and
get out every day and take walks and enjoy the fresh warm air.

For those of us in colder climates (the high yesterday was 17 degrees) it is harder
as we have to bundle up and our faces freeze. (It is like taking a walk in a freezer.) :)

Love, Janie (I miss my pretty flowers but Spring will be here in 4 months.) :tazz:

Over here the highs are 103 degrees! I'd kill for that kind of temperature. I love bundling up in pure cold! Besides... Over here the lows are around 80 and even that is cold for over here. Seriously, why complain if you can stop the cold when you can't stop the hot?(IE bundling up in clothes in the cold/Streaking in the sun?)

So am I! Well...I'm trying too!

If I don't do it one day, I do it double the next. It's getting really hard with the winter and winter sports coming along. I'm doing wrestling every day from 3 - 5:30, so I can't get out much, but I'll try!

Hello everyone....beginning team members as well as those that joined in later.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of this challenge to get outside for 20 minutes
each day until January first.

It was easy when I had work outside to do in my flower gardens but now the ground
is frozen and it is just plain cold...My temperature at the bottom of the computer
right now says 21 degrees.

But no matter how busy we are with school work, housework, etc, or how cold it is
(or how hot like 103 degrees as Manu described) it is still very important to get
outside and get some fresh air...to take a walk at least.

So how are the rest of you doing?
I will confess to only being outside for 5 mins today as I wasn't dressed warmly enough.

I plan on going on a two mile walk to the creek tomorrow.
(We live in the country and that is how far it is down our road to the creek and back.)

Love, Janie flowergirl (I AM READY FOR SPRING~sigh~)
P.S. If anyone reading this has not joined in to do the 20 mins of outdoor exercise challenge,
how about jumping in now for the hardest month of all: DECEMBER.

I Steamhead
will get outside and walk or some other exercise
(no matter how cold or rainy or nasty the weather) for 20 MINUTES every day
beginning Saturday, 10-22-05 through the rest of this year.

Just HAD to do it! I play soccer and run for practice a few miles a day, no matter what the weather! (and I'm serious, if it's pouring down rain we run anyway :) ) :)

I will happily give weekly reports ... stsarting this Friday! :tazz:

YAH STEAMHEAD. Posted Image
I (along with the others) am so glad you joined the
GEEKS OUTDOOR EXERCISE TEAM.

It sounds like you get outside quite a bit, what with soccer practice.
We will be watching for your Friday exercise report.
(And the others that made the pledge's report also.)

I have no time to go outside. I wake up, go to school, come home, do homework, go to work, come home, do more homework then go to sleep around 11-midnight. Does standing on my feet for 4-8 hours count?

Dear Justin.
You ARE a BUSY young man yet there needs to be a way for you to find some time to
be outside each day.....Plus I see you live in beautiful Arizonia!

I have a couple suggestions:
Do you ride the bus home from school?
Could you have them drop you off two miles from your house and run or walk home?
You would feel SO INVIGORATED. (Standing 4-8 hours inside is not the same.)

At the very least, could you sit OUTSIDE to do your homework?
Maybe run around some while you are LEARNING a homework lesson?

GEEKS OUTDOOR TEAM
, any suggestions for Justin? :)

It's been said that we find time to do the things we want to do. :tazz:
Like Dr. Gustein, Steamhead, Danny and the others have said, they are busy
also but find the time to do what is important: OUTDOOR EXERCISE.

Outdoor exercise is SO HEALTHY for a person; physically and emotionally.

Sincerely, Janie :)

I dont take the bus =(

I start school an hour before the busses drop off, and I end like 3 hours before the busses drop people off at home. I drive to and from school. Today, I barely have time to eat lunch before I have to head out to work. The days where I dont work, I just want to sit down and relax. If it wasnt so cold out (like 50 degrees(yeah thats not cold to you people)), Id go swimming.

Sad thing is, I havent really had time to do my 8 minute ab workout at night lately.....
