Hi,
I am new to this forum and found it during a search for help with what happened seems like overnight to my computer.

Im not too bright when it comes to technical PC talk or tasks so please bare with me.

I purchased a laptop as a 2nd PC a couple months ago and things have been great until yesterday i ediited alot of pictures using Paint Shop Pro and it seemd like after i finished with PSP and tried surfing etc my PC is realy slow and takes about 2-3 mins before the page im trying to view opens and alot of times it seems to not even open and a Page Cannot be Displayed opens up.

Does anyone know if it was something to do with using PSP or could it be another problem.
Even my email outlook express seems very slow and sometimes times out too.

Anyone one have any suggestion please?

Thanks in advance
Cathy

I did both of those ... the disc clean up freed up space and the defragmenter said i didnt need to defragment ... the legend show 85% free space.
I deleted all the cookies and temp files too.

Hi cath1024, try using the CleanUp! program from the link in my signature and see if that helps. Also please post the information circled in the attached picture. You get to the Task Manager by hitting CTRL+ALT+DEL and then click on the PERFORMANCE tab.

*Edit* -- If you could please give me the information when you first boot up your laptop and then when you're done using PSP and then notice the Internet is slow.
