I have a Dell Dimension 8300 with 256 MB. I would like to upgrade to 512 MB. How would I do this?

after you buy ram that is compatable with your machine, it's pretty much as easy as opening the case and putting it in the slot.

Is it ok if I mix different brands of RAM? Will the existing RAM work with the RAM on www.crucial.com
