When trying to install AOL Instant Messenger I get an error message stating aim is not a valid win32 application?

I went to the AOL help/FAQ site. I still get the "not a vailed win32 error message when attempting to install AIM. I have a small hard drive 6gig and it is partitioned. the C drive is full.

I am also getting an error message saying

C:\Documents and Settings\Debby\Desktop\Install_AIM.exe is not a valid Win32 application

Any ideas? Thanks I have recieved great info on this site and appreciate the help
