Hi there guys,
I managed to get at least one virus on my computer the other day, although i seem to have got rid of the worst of it now (by using several anti-spyware/virus programs such as Antivir xp, xoftspy, kaspersky and trojan hunter) im still having a few problems.
Basically my computer seems to be running ok and i can't see and processes that are running that shouldn't be, but several programs just close themselves when i try and run them. I can get to my internet explorer home page but when i try and go anywhere from that it just closes down, i cant open windows media player, i can't run norton antivirus (when i click on scan it just doesn't do anything), i can't use the windows search option and i read somewhere that entering 'services.msc /s' in run and doing something there might help, but that also closes as soon as i open it.
Also my taskbar went to the old stlye taskbar and my mouse pointer changed when i started my computer up this morning...
Does anyone have any ideas how i might be able to solve/identify the problem? I tried starting the system in safe mode and the same happens.
Many thanks for any help at all :tazz:
Dave.
