Norton Anti Virus alerted me to this virus but couldn't deal with it.
Tried to boot in safe mode and run Norton fix - still no good
Downloaded Norton's FixVundo and ran according to instructions - still no good.
Found you guys and followed your steps as requested and have enclosed the Hihack log...

Welcome Dave Murdock to Geeks to Go!

Please download LQfix.exe and save it to your desktop.

Double-Click LQfix.exe and click Next > Next > Install.
Leave the default settings, if you change them, the fix will Fail!
Now make sure the "Launch LQfix" box is checked.
Click the Finish button, after clicking the Finish button the fix will start.
Follow the on-screen prompts.
Your system will now reboot afterwards.
Please be patient after the reboot, there is a script running in the background that needs to complete.

Now do a scan with HiJackThis and post a new log by using Add Reply

We will still need to take on the Vundo infection.

We need to disable your Microsoft AntiSpyware Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.

Open Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Click on Tools, Settings.
In the left pane, click on Real-time Protection.
Under Startup Options uncheck Enable the Microsoft AntiSpyware Security Agents on startup (recommended).
Under Real-time spyware threat protection uncheck Enable real-time spyware threat protection (recommended).
After you uncheck these, click on the Save button and close Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Right click on the Microsoft AntiSpyware icon on the taskbar and select Shutdown Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Reverse the process when you’ve carried out the advise.

Please disable SpybotSD’s protection, as it may hinder the removal of the infection. You can enable it after you're clean.

Open Spybot and click on Mode and check Advanced Mode
Check yes to next window.
Click on Tools in bottom left hand corner.
Click on Resident icon.
Uncheck Teatimer box and/or Uncheck Resident.
Close Spybot.

Did you rerun LQfix after you disabled them? It still appears to have not worked.

Each time I have posted a log I perform the following steps:
I double-click on IQFix which installs it again and runs it forcing a reboot.
Once the IQFix Finished message appears I double click on HijackThis icon which results in the Notepad
being called up displaying a log.
I cut and paste this log into the reply.

If this is resulting in the same log being posted, what am I doing wrong.

Please double-click HijackThis

In the main menu choose 'Do a system scan and save the log'. A notepad file will open.

Copy and paste that entire text in your reply.

Copy and paste the following file path into the "File to upload & scan" box on the top of the page:
