I have 2 computers in with following stats. I want to use the Dell as main computer and have access to Gateway's drives... That way I can use gateway drives as back up and do cd copying easier. I have no clue how to connect them. but, I think it may not be that hard. Can someone give me detailed instructions... and hardware needs

Comp 1 Dell 4600 C XP Pro connects to internet via dsl and is the one with the monitor

Comp 2 Older Gateway Win 98 no monitor, cd drives, one zip one floppy and 2 hard drives

THANKS

Hi Jackbunning

Hhhmmmm, without having to go into great detail, this is a large subject to get into, you might want to check out this link from Microsoft, gives basic to detailed info, helps you with some options that will come up, usually how much to spend, different equipment options and so on. Hope some of this helps. :tazz:

if you want, you can purchase a router or hub which you can share an internet connection, printers, files and much more (specially nice for multiplayer gaming :tazz:)
