Computer Booting Problem

Hey all.

I've been having trouble getting my computer to boot. Basically, when I turn it on, it doesn't do anything. Well, I should say, all the fans come on and all the lights flash and all, so it does something. It also makes the normal sounds of booting. However, I get no picture. I did replace the power supply. I have a spare video card I'm going to throw in and see if that fixes the problem. However, my primary fear is that the problem will be with the motherboard.

I am running an AMD Athlon XP 2000+ on an ECS K7S5A motherboard.

The only indication I can get is I get 2 beeps from the POST.

It does start on a very rare occasion, and on those, it seems to work fine. But after some time, it will always restart/shut itself off.

Any opinions on this would be helpful.

two beeps is usually a hardware fault -- depends on the BIOS manufacturer as to what the beep codes mean --- but I would suggest either the video-card or RAM is faulty.
