Hi I'm working on a removal tool for the infection you have.

Please download Vundo3 from http://www.atribune....oads/vundo3.zip

Once you have downloaded it please unzip it to your desktop.

Once unzipped please open the vundo3 folder and double click killvundo.bat.

Let it run and follow the onscreen commands.

Once your computer reboots please post a new hijackthis log and the vundofix.txt from inside the vundo3 folder.

I double clicked kill bat. Black box appeared, it advised to hit enter. I hit enter, all icons dissappeared and I just have background from desk top showing. Hard drive light flickering. Its been 2 hours? No change. Is this normal? No further commands received!

also turned off firewall, etrust pest patrol, Ewido, Mcafee. but ran kill.bat in regular start up. Was this supposed to run on safe mode?

I do when the program is not running. But soon as kill.bat executes and I hit enter everything except Microsoft office tool bar leaves the desk top.

Shall I try it in safe mode? The bizarre thing is, that I reformated the drive days ago. reinstalled programs and the virus came right back.???

Hmm it appears to be doing exactly what it is supposed to. Can you try it from safe mode please.

It shouldnt take anymore then 2 minutes to run.

Edit it actually removed Conhook already

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {00DBDAC8-4691-4797-8E6A-7C6AB89BC441} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\sstqn.dll

See how that is gone from your log. It is working just not rebooting your machne. If it freezes again press enter on the command box.
