Hello: Most of the time (90%) when I shut down, the "windows is now closing" window comes up and stays there and I shut down by the power button. Rarely do I see "It is now safe...".

When I restart, it goes into the scan mode, goes through drive C fine, but 3/4 of the way through drive D I get "Damaged long file name, unable to repair use scan disk". I have tried to find this sucker for over a year with no results.

Any help?

Windows 98. 256 cache, 40 gig D drive,

Thank you
Emory Zimmerman

First try this patch to disable fast shutdown. Instructions are included in the readme.txt file.
