I tried to email a photo from a mustac scanner and it failed.Since then it comes up on screen at start up and it takes a while befor windows starts.Please can anyone tell me how to get rid of it. TIA bonyjony

Do you have your scanner loading at start-up? Go to start.>>run>>type in msconfig and go to your last tab. If it's loaded at start--up, uncheck it, reboot and see what happens.

thanks Coachwife I need to learn a lot more.!!I found ' Scan Registry.C:WINDOWS\scanregw.exe/autorun is that the one I uncheck?

It's a packard bell (?mustek bear paw)
i have problems at this time and will have to get back to you in a few days.thanks for your help bonyjony

PS I unchecked the packard program Watch and the photo is still there

Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log as a new topic in the Hijack This forum. It will get a better response there from the people most qualified to analyze logs.

Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide. Also see this post.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.
