For about the past week or so, I've been getting pop ups for winfixer.com. I have tried running Spybot, Adaware, AVG Anti-virus, x-cleaner, hijack this, etc, and nothing can get rid of it. I have even manually tried removing the appropriate dll file (I know what file is causing it - jkklk.dll), and I can't do it. I tried following the instructions that someone else was told to do for the same infection, replacing the file name they had with the one that I have, but it tells me every time that the file can not be deleted because it is being used by another process... this even happens in safe mode. Please disable SpybotSD’s protection, as it may hinder the removal of the infection. You can enable it after you're clean.

Open Spybot and click on Mode and check Advanced Mode
Check yes to next window.
Click on Tools in bottom left hand corner.
Click on Resident icon.
Uncheck Teatimer box and/or Uncheck Resident.
Close Spybot.

We need to disable your Microsoft AntiSpyware Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.

Open Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Click on Tools, Settings.
In the left pane, click on Real-time Protection.
Under Startup Options uncheck Enable the Microsoft AntiSpyware Security Agents on startup (recommended).
Under Real-time spyware threat protection uncheck Enable real-time spyware threat protection (recommended).
After you uncheck these, click on the Save button and close Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Right click on the Microsoft AntiSpyware icon on the taskbar and select Shutdown Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Reverse the process when you’ve carried out the advise.

• Empty Recycle Bins
• Delete Cookies
• Delete Prefetch files
• Cleanup! All Users

Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.

It may ask you to reboot at the end, click NO.

Run the Free use Panda Active Scan.

Copy the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a new HiJackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder into this topic.

Thanks for replying. I did manage to get rid of the infection before you posted this. My browser crashed last night and in sending an error report to microsoft, it popped up a window from microsoft about managing add-ons. I opened that up and there was the jkklk.dll file. I disabled it and then was able to clean it from my system. My problem was that my computer wouldn't delete it, with the VundoFix, HJT, or anything else. I was able to remove the file and the two backup files (klkkj.bak1 and .bak2, as well as klkkj.ini). I'm running Housecall from Trend Micro right now, just to check for anything else, as the Panda scan won't work for me. Once I run that and reboot, I will post a new HJT log, as well as the results from the Housecall scan, just to make sure I got everything.
