Hi ive got the same problem with VX2 ive seen others on here with, the UMonitor error, recycle bin not working etc. I was hoping someone might be able to help.

Ok, looks great, just some cleanup here:

• Download VX2Finder.
• Double-click on VX2Finder.exe.
• Click "Restore Policy".
• In the File menu click "Exit".
• Double-click on KillBox.exe.
• In the File menu click "Delete all Dummy files".
• In the Tools menu click "Delete Temp Files".
• Choose "Standard File Kill" if not already selected.
• Paste these files one by one into the top "Full Path of File to Delete" box.
  • C:\RECYCLER\desktop.ini
  • C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc\HOSTS
• Click the "Delete File" button which looks like a stop sign.
• Click "Yes" at the Confirm Delete prompt.
• It should give you a successful "File was deleted" prompt for each one.

Now we need to take another look at the Hijack This log, and you're almost done.

Please reboot into safe mode (continually tap the F8 key while your system is starting, select Safe Mode from the menu).
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):

dimbject.exe
dfsgui10.exe <<<These ones are most likely in C:\windows or C:\windows\system32. If not then run a search and delete them. You may not find them at all.

Next run an online virus scan here (you have to use Internet Explorer for this):

Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.

Download, run, check for updates, download updates, select all, protect against checked. All done. Check for updates every couple of weeks. If you have any errors running the program like a missing file see the link at the bottom of the javacool page.

These next two steps are optional, but will provide the greatest protection.
1. Use ANY browser besides Internet Explorer, almost every exploit is crafted to take advantage of an IE weakness. We usually recommend FireFox .
2. Install Sun's Java. It's much more secure than Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine .

It's okay to delete the Hijack This folder if everything is working okay.
