I just got Doom 3 and and im less than thrilled. My 6800GT is nowhere close to full settings and I only get like 30Fps max, BF2 isn't much better either. Whats going on? My specs are in the sig.

if you have shadows on really, they will kill your FPS, plus, Doom 3 is a fairly heavy hitter when it comes to computer games, my AMD FX-55 GeForce 6800 Ultra and 2gb ram are even kinda sluggish though there sometimes

They havent made a card that can run doom3 maxed out on full, try quake 4 its the same engine but they have streamlined it so it runs much more efficiently now, Bf2 you should be able to run on high at 1280x1024, try the latest drivers(they just released new ones) or go back and use a slightly older driver, nvidia drivers are ridiculously buggy lately.
