computer not starting due to disabled video memory

hi,
i disabled my computer's video memory. i thought it might increase it's speed!!!!!!! but it didn't happen so. my computer refuses to start. everytime i on it i get a message stating that my video card (sis vr 1.5) requires a minimum of 4 mb video ram with an irritating beep. wat should i do??? please help. my email id is 'email removed'.

Try clearing your BIOS/CMOS by disconnecting the power and removing the battery for at least five minutes.
