Well, having pop-ups can be for a wide range of different reasons. Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log as a new topic in the Hijack This forum. It will get a better response there from the people most qualified to analyze logs.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide. Also see this post. This site has most of the anti-spyware programs that you want to run first - Read it through carefully.

Please post again after doing all of the things I've listed. Thanks. :tazz:

You have quite a few things to do with your system - but don't worry, we'll get rid of those insane popups.

First, you have some LSPs (Layered Service Provider) that you want to get rid of - one of them is aklsp.dll (by Virtumundo) and the other is the calsp.dll (by CouponAge). You have both ;) but it's no problem. Just follow the instructions below on getting LSP-fix that will take care of those two :tazz:

Please Download LSPFix from http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm and Run the Program. Disconnect from the Internet and close all Internet Explorer Windows. Check the "I know what I'm doing" Button and remove all traces of aklsp.dll and calsp.dll ONLY. Reboot.

Second, I want you to provide me a Find-It log of your system. I know that you have a VX2 infection - very annoying popups included - so we need to know all the bad things in your system. Please follow the instructions and post again with the new log.
  • Download finditnt2000xp.zip.
  • Unzip the contents of finditnt2000xp.zip to a convenient location.
  • Navigate to the Find It NT-2K-XP folder and double-click on find.bat.
  • A command prompt will open and it will search your computer for malicious files.
  • Once it has finished a Notepad window will pop up with output.txt.
  • Copy the entire contents of output.txt into your next post.

Here is the Findit log:
