I did a search for this and couldn't find a resolution so hopefully you guys can help
I recently did a format of a 98 machine that has an ECS K7S5A mobo. I like a moron didn't
back up the drivers. So.. now I'm stuck with finding the drivers. I downloaded the agp121.zip
from ECS and the setup utility ran fine. Restarted the computer and ... can't go higher than
400x600 and 16 colors. Please advise on what to do. I'm also having issues with the sound but
I think I found the resolution via another thread on here.

Thanks for your help. It's important to get this machine back up..

ok....well...you need to find out the make and model of the video card and download the drivers from their site....what you got from ecs was the agp controller driver...not quite what you wanted..
download everest home edition run it, then post a report

I've downloaded some drivers from creative's web site ..but there's no setup util and when I go to the device manager it shows a pci multimedia device.. I scan the drivers from creative but it doesn't like them

the card according to Everest is a Creative SB! Value CT4831

I downloaded drivers for it but I can't get any sound..

edit: i may have found the install..

I'll get back to you in a sec.. thanks for your patience

edit: I got it to work..thanks so much!!

only a few more issues in device manager and I'll be good to go
