system freezes and have to reboot everytime winamp is used

open programs are very slow to close, minimize.
opening programs including internet is very slow and never used to be

my system is pentium3 855 or 755 and has 768meg of ram 15 gig hard drive @7200rpm which is half full

i did have the winfixer problem and i used yr fix to get rid of it execellent
