Thanks for all your help and suggestions with the spyware downloads: Spybot, ad-aware, CWshredder and HijackThis...I have all of them on my PC now plus Winpatrol.

Also, I plan on making a donation this week to your website, your help has been invaluable.

My problem is that the allaboutsearching toolbar keeps popping up and attempting to take over my homepage. When this happens, (it will take a while for Winpatrol to jump in) Winpatrol pops up and alerts me to this attempted change in my homepage. I run a Hijack This and see allabout searching.com in the file list again.

This all started when my Avant Browser page popped up a window asking if I wanted to update. I clicked no and ever since then, it has been constant hijack attempts.

Does the Avant Browser have an inherent problems with spyware or anything I should be concerned about? I love the ability to use tabbed browsing but if I have to go back to IE brower , I guess I will.

Also, I have tried to remove this with Hijack This and it won't delete it...It looks like the program is working, I check the box and click Fix but it is still there.

Also, Allabout searching is stiil attempting a hijack

Reboot in safe mode (by tapping F8 at startup and selecting safe mode from the menu).
Delete this entire folder: C:\PROGRA~1\CLOCKW~1\SAVE JUGS.exe <- (The folder name has been abreviated, but starts with clockw...)
And, this folder: C:\Program Files\AutoUpdate\AutoUpdate.exe <- entire folder

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

That should do it, but if you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log. <_<

Avant browser is more secure than IE. We actually recommend FireFox for a tabbed browser. I think your hijack attempts have more to do with the sites your visiting rather than your browser. Also, be sure you've installed all critical updates from Windows Update.
