Im new member as of today, and i have a question on adding RSS (as someone suggested to me i do) to my new forum, but exactly how does this work? I mean, my forum has new posts daily and if i add an RSS to the forum, i realize the content will be syndicated elsewhere, but where? What exactly will RSS do for me and my forum. Please advise. My forum is a phpbb forum.

Not all forum software supports RSS, some will need third party hacks to do it with.
As for what RSS is, here you go:

As for its benefits - svaes you bandwidth
