Yep, new infection.

Please disable Spyware Doctor, as it may interfere with the fix. To disable Spyware Doctor:

* Click the Spyware Doctor icon in the System Tray.
* Click Settings.
* Click Startup Settings under Pick a Category.
* Uncheck Run at Windows startup.
* Click Apply and Exit Spyware Doctor

Once your log is clean you can re-enable Spyware Doctor.

We need to disable your Microsoft AntiSpyware Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.

Open Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Click on Tools, Settings.
In the left pane, click on Real-time Protection.
Under Startup Options uncheck Enable the Microsoft AntiSpyware Security Agents on startup (recommended).
Under Real-time spyware threat protection uncheck Enable real-time spyware threat protection (recommended).
After you uncheck these, click on the Save button and close Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Right click on the Microsoft AntiSpyware icon on the taskbar and select Shutdown Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Reverse the process when you’ve carried out the advise.

Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
Set the program up as follows:
Click "Options..."
Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):

• Empty Recycle Bins
• Delete Cookies
• Delete Prefetch files
• Cleanup! All Users

Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.

It may ask you to reboot at the end, click NO.

and panda scan changed and it makes you download something, and it wont let me download it, and if you dont want to type all that you dont have to i understand alot about computers. it looks like the HJt files are still there. and im bout tot just wioe my computer, ive done it my sisters dell before and i have a dell myself. so can you just let me know what software you use. and for now ill just run the scans i have.

and panda scan changed and it makes you download something, and it wont let me download it, and if you dont want to type all that you dont have to i understand alot about computers. it looks like the HJt files are still there. and im bout tot just wioe my computer, ive done it my sisters dell before and i have a dell myself. so can you just let me know what software you use. and for now ill just run the scans i have.

Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

ok.... those items are now deleted..so here is a new HJT log...and its not that i dont want to do the Panda...its that i cant...i get there and i enter the information...and then it says its updating its virus and spyware protection right before the scan...and then it says its gonna download something...and then it says it cant download...just check it out yourself....and as for the HJT log you wanted me to do...did you want me to do that in safe mode...because i saw that it didnt delete in safe mode and tried it in the regular mode and they deleted...but here is the HJT log:

the second panda scan link you gave me sends you to a place to download panda scan and it wont let me for some reason....but i tried the one on the first page and it sent me to the right place....so here is panda scan:

ok...never mind...once again...when i go to run a mycomputer scan...it gets stuck on the file C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntdll.dll...and when i hit stop...or X out of the window...that IE window freezes....so all my panda scans are from local disk c ... not my computer

on the HJT log, do you see where it says iPod service??? well i dont ever remember anything about that and i dont have an ipod...but as far as you can tell, does it look like the infection is gone??

I looked back and found the service in the first two logs. It is installed along with the iTunes.

The logs look clean to me.
Is the computer running ok?
If so, shall I post you some tips for the future and close this topic?

yes so far as i can tell my computer is running smoothly. Yes, those tips would be very appreciated. And if i think i get something like this again, should i run HJT and look at the 020 area, and if it says winlogon notify and it doesnt say intel wireless, and it says something similiar to this, C:\WINODWS\system32\jgncl.dll, should i delete it?

Please follow these simple steps in order to keep your computer clean and secure:

• Disable and Enable System Restore. - If you are using Windows ME or XP then you should disable and re-enable system restore to make sure there are no infected files found in a restore point.

• Make your Internet Explorer more secure - This can be done by following these simple instructions:
  • From within Internet Explorer click on the Tools menu and then click on Options.
  • Click once on the Security tab
  • Click once on the Internet icon so it becomes highlighted.
  • Click once on the Custom Level button.
    
    • Change the Download signed ActiveX controls to Prompt
    • Change the Download unsigned ActiveX controls to Disable
    • Change the Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe to Disable
    • Change the Installation of desktop items to Prompt
    • Change the Launching programs and files in an IFRAME to Prompt
    • Change the Navigate sub-frames across different domains to Prompt
    • When all these settings have been made, click on the OK button.
    • If it prompts you as to whether or not you want to save the settings, press the Yes button.
  • Next press the Apply button and then the OK to exit the Internet Properties page.
• Use an AntiVirus Software - It is very important that your computer has an anti-virus software running. This alone can save you a lot of trouble with malware in the future.

• Visit Microsoft's Windows Update Site Frequently - It is important that you visit http://www.windowsupdate.com regularly. • Install Spybot - Search and Destroy - Install and download Spybot - Search and Destroy with its TeaTimer option. This will provide realtime spyware & Hijacker protection on your computer alongside your virus protection. You should also scan your computer with this program on a regular basis just as you would an antivirus software.

• Update all these programs regularly - Make sure you update all the programs I have listed regularly. Without regular updates you WILL NOT be protected when new malicious programs are released.

Follow this list and your potential for being infected again will reduce dramatically.
