My computer runs perfect when I'm logged on. However, anytime I get back to the start screen, I click my user name and it asks me for my password. However, I do not use a password, so when it asks I'm forced to restart my computer everytime. There are two other users at my house who have names that don't use passwords as well. And sure enough, windows asks for a password anyhow. Is there any way to rid of this unexplained password inquiry? Everywhere in the conrol panel that regards user names says nothing about that. I run multiple virus scans as well as spyware checks daily, and the problem will not fix itself. I can't think of any solutions for this bizare problem.

There is an article here on passwords and how to reset - may be worth a look. http://pcsupport.abo.../xppassword.htm
