Share printer on home network

If you
-are in the same workgroup
-have "File & Printer Sharing"
-are sharing the printer (check that the name is simple ASCII like "LJ4")
then you should see it.

The only thing left is to dynamite the XP/home box. I have no other ideas.

Sorry. (Novell Netware may not be pretty, but it works......)

Sanity check:

Shut down the ^(*(*^ XP/home laptop.
Shut down the 2K box.
Start up the 2K box.
_after_the_2K_box_is_up_ start up the XP/home laptop.

(Just to make sure that the 2K box is "running" the workgroup)

instead of "browsing" for the printer, try typing the path in the box...... example is \\computername\printer

Windows may say \\server\printer but it's the same; it's the path to the printer you want to connect to. If your computer that's attached to the printer is named Printserver, and your printer is named printer1, then type \\printserver\printer1
