Hi gang,

I have W2K Pro running on my laptop and have been considering putting XP Pro on it. Would it be OK to "upgrade" it to XP Pro by just installing it over W2K or would it be better to wipe the drive and start from scratch? On desktops, I have always installed XP Pro on a new drive and never "over" W2K or any other OS and am not sure if there could be conflicts by doing it without formatting the drive. Thoughts??

Thanks and have a great week!

While technically there shouldn't be an issue, I've always reformatted and installed XP on a clean slate.
