When starting my computer, after booting up my computer goes right into IE and into a xxx site. I've run spybot, spybaster, mcafee virus scan, trendmicro. After it cleaned out everything, it still does this.

I see something called apcups.exe and statslist.exe I don't know what these are. Both of these are flagged by McAfee firewall. Are these the problems. Also during every boot up, mcafee finds something called HELLMSN or MSNHELL and deletes it but it comes back on every reboot.

JIMB408...

Let's let the malware experts deal with this one.

Please go to the Malware Forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the Start Here.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
