Can someone tell me how to password protect a folder in Windows XP Home Edition SP2 using Windows XP tools, basically without having to install other 3rd party software.

Easiest way is to create a user profile so that you need a password to log onto the computer in your profile. Then you can right click the folder, and mark it as private so no other computer user has access to it.
