All of a sudden, my fax machine is acting crazy, it is clicking on for just a phone call and not all the time. We have a 2 line Panasonic Multi Talk phone/answering machine and a HP K60 all in one fax/copier/printer.

Intermittantly, it will start to go into fax mode at certain phone calls but not all.

We are still receiving messages on the answering machine but other times a phone call will initiate the fax. The fax settings are set to auto answer, auto answer after 5 rings, recognize all distinct phone ring patterns. It is funny how some will initiate the fax, and other phone calls will not.

We have a Dell, dimension 2400,running XP...

Any ideas on this?
