Hello,

when viewing c drive from my computor the icons have all gone the page is blank, having veiwed a thread on this website where a similar problem exisited, the problem seems to have been caused by the installation of microsoft patch vgx Q833989.I have this patch installed and decided to follow the intructions of this thread to delete this patch however I have the same problem and can not locate blank.htm.

The other problem i,m having is restriction to some website download links, i,m being restrickted selectivly for example I receive a blank white page when I try windows updates, trendmicro house call and some other download links on other pages.

Hope i,m not being to confusing with my request for help.

I,m using pest patrol for scaning spyware and have used adaware although adware finds virus,s I have uninstalled the product after repeated times of using it I find upon reboot the same problems seem to exisit.

hopefully you are able to help
