Windows Media Player won't play a .wmv

WMP all it does is just play the sound and does play or show and picture, I've installed codec packs and WMP codec pack.

Anybody know how to solve my problem?

What version are you running? You could try reinstalling it.

I installed WMP 10 the other day and wmv file use's a wmv3 codec i've installed that from free codecs website but it still doesn't want to show any picture!

Try uninstalling it and then restarting and reinstalling it.

I tried uninstalled and reinstalling and that didn't work so i deleted the drivers for the graphics card and reinstalled the graphics card and that fixed my problem.
