what kind of internet are you talking about?

If it's broadband, you just plug in the ethernet cable into the slot on the back. If it's wireless, you need a wireless card which comes in most laptops today. If it's dialup, you need to install the software.

Provide some more info and we can give you some more detail. :tazz:

are you already subscribing to an ISP for internet service?

I'm pretty sure you would want to use your laptop wirelessly, right? If so, then you might want to subscribe to a high-speed internet service provider (ISP) and get a wireless router (depends on your area, some ISP such as verizon offers free router with the modem). This should be easiest since they usually come with a step-by-step instruction manual. If you still connect to the internet via dial-up, you will have to connect to a phone line and then install the software manually. Again, check the instruction manual that the ISP provides. Let us know which way you want to go so we can help you better. I'm sure there are a lot of users people there that are willing to help as this should be a simple set-up.
