My cd key for Win xp Home is lost. So is the original disk. (My home office was moved, and it just can't be found ... dumb but true.).My dealer gave me a copy of the program but of course the cdkey is another question. I have the receipt for the purchase of the program ... that is not at issue. However trying to find a manner in which to get a new cdkey from Microsoft is a mystery. I have tried their website but can find no place this is addressed.
Can anyone suggest a way this can be done. (No I am not trying to get someone to give me an illegal number ... that is not my objective).
Hope someone can direct me ...
Thank you

Took your advice and a cdkey was supplied within minutes (as well as sending a new cd later). All they were interested in is proving ownership of the program which I was able to do.
With thanks.
PS The hardest part was finding a phone number at Microsoft that did not cost an arm and a leg. Look under licencing. the charge was minimal ($15 Cdn). Ok ... eh?
