I am continually getting an error message that reads:
IE has encountered a problem with an addon and needs to close.
File:yieservc.dll

Yahoo, Inc.
Yahoo services

It is immediately followed by 2 other messages;

instruction at 0x62308d19 reffered memory at 0x019e2094 memory could not be read.

instruction at 0x7c9105f8 reffered memory at 0x019e0010 memory could not be read.

I have also had several blank screen pop ups open and close imediately causing a total lock up. I have been using cntrl+alt+del, "end task" to get back to my desktop to restart ie but this is happening more & more frequently. All help greatly appreciated.

Most likely a faulty stick of memory.

Grab this:
http://www.memtest.o...1.65.floppy.zip

Extract it to a folder on the desktop, put a floppy disk in, run install.bat, let it finish, reboot, let it load off the floppy and then let it run for a bit.

See if it finds anything. If so, pop to a computer shop for some more memory.
