kernel source tree not found

hi,
I have installed redhat linux 2.4.20-8 on i686..and i would like to conifure my Network interface card.
When am tring to do that , am not finding my kernel source tree.?

How to get that and what all the steps(build/make/install) before i configure my NIC card.
I dont see anything in /usr/src/

I have installed the kernel package.Now i can see the kernel source tree.
