Second HD missing when WinXP comes out of standby

My primary drive is an SATA drive (C:\). My backup drive is an IDE drive (D:\). Whenever I go into Standby, once I come out, I can't access my D drive. The only way that I can seem to get XP to see it again is to reboot my computer.

Any advice is appreicated.
