OK I am a bit concerned here because I have in the last few days received some odd emails which look like bounced emails BUT I HAVEN'T sent anything to these people!!

Eg.
[email protected] "You have received this message as a result of replying via email to a RealNetworks Order Receipt or Customer Service message....etc" I don't think I did send something...
also
InterScan Notification [[email protected]] "InterScan MSS for SMTP has stripped an attachment..." I don't think I sent any attachments to anyone recently...

I also got a message from Outlook (I think Outlook not Norton but can't remember) warning me a program was trying to access my address book which I could then choose to block.

I also get occasional Norton Trojan warnings which I just assume have been handled OK...

I have Norton Internet Security/AV 2004 installed, liveupdate done today and full scan clean.
I also ran your recommendations AVG : clean, Spybot (found 4 minor stuff - but I run this weekly anyway), CWSweep came up clean but asked me what this file was:

c:\windows\ctdrins.exe

I have no idea - perhaps someone here can tell me...

Your log is clean

I wouldn't be too concerned. Modern viruses take a legitimate email address from a users address book (possibly your email), and make it appear as though a virus infected email was sent from that address. When this message is rejected by the receiver, the reply is sent to inbox of where it appeared to originate (again, possibly your email address).

If anybody has you in their address book, and is infected with one of these viruses you may receive these false rejection responses. There's no way to track it, and really nothing you can do about it, except what you're currently doing, keep your system patched, protected and virus free.
