Where to begin? I have used Adaware, Spybot, CWShredder, TDS3, and used housecall to scan. Housecall found 4 trojans on the computer, which i tried to fix, but it said they were not cleanable.

I have 6 items in my temp internet files that will not delete when I try to empty it.

I also have strange noises coming from inside my computer. It isn't the fan in the back. I was told it was either the hard drive or the internal fan, but it's been making this noise on and off for a month now, and nothing further has happened.

Also, when I run Spybot, a DSO exploit and another file come up, but when i attempt to fix them, the program immediately freezes up and leaves the files on the computer. I have tried this in safe mode as well, and it comes up w/ the same results.

I'm hoping that this all is stemming from the same place, see if this can help.

i think housecall may have deleted the trojans, though it said at the time it couldn't, it's no longer picking them up on the search. the other cleaner didn't pick anything bad up.

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.
