Hi and welcome to GeeksToGo! My name is Sam and I will be helping you. :tazz:
I apologize for the delay getting to your log, the helpers here are very busy.

I see you have a few issues issues in your log. This should fix the first one.

Please download LQfix.exe from one of the following locations:
    http://miekiemoes.geekstogo.com/tools/LQfix.exe

  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Double-Click LQfix.exe and click Next > Next > Install.
  • Leave the default settings, if you change them, the fix will Fail!
  • You need an active Internet Connection, so make sure your you're not blocking any connection now.
  • Now make sure the "Launch LQfix" box is checked.
  • Click the Finish button, after clicking the Finish button the fix will start.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts.
  • Your system will reboot afterwards.
  • Please be patient after the reboot, there is a script running in the background that needs to complete.
Then do a scan with HiJackThis and post a new log by using Add Reply

hello , i am unable to run the lqfix.exe as when it does it says it cant connect to the server to get the bfu.exe file - however it does say you can get it manually
when i put it into the windows/lqfix folder manually then when i run it, it says its not found, and when i look back into the folder the bfu.exe is no longer there
meaning, everytime i run it, the file is disappearing
if there is a way to run bfu.exe then please let me know on its own and how and where to execute it
p.s. not just saying this but i will be happy to give a BIG donation if this problem gets solved as it is costing me LOTS of money

It sounds like you figured this out already, but just in case. You can download BFU directly from here.
http://www.merijn.org/files/bfu.zip

Extract it into C:\Windows\LQFix

Now go to that folder and make sure you see these files present.

bfu.exe
LQFirst.bfu
LQSecond.bfu
ClickThis.bat

You may see others also, but these are the important ones.
Double click on ClickThis and reboot when it asks you to.

Post a new hijackthis log.

Let's see what we can do manually and then we'll come back to LQfix and try it again.

Please follow these steps:
  • Please make sure that you can View Hidden Files
    • Click Start -> My Computer
    • Select Tools -> Folder options
    • Select the View tab and make sure that 'Show hidden files and folders' (or 'Show all files') is enabled.
    • Also make sure that 'Display the contents of system folders' is checked.
    • For more info on how to show hidden files click here.

  • Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then close all other windows--you should only see HijackThis on your Desktop--and click the Fix Checked button.

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Microsoft Config 32] msconfigx32.exe

  • Please reboot your computer in SafeMode by doing the following:
    • Restart your computer
    • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
    • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
    • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.
    • If you have trouble getting into Safe mode go here for more info.

  • Once in Safe mode, delete these files or directories (Do not be concerned if they do not exist):

    msconfigx32.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\etb <-- delete this folder
    C:\WINDOWS\EliteToolbar <-- delete this folder
    C:\WINDOWS\EliteSidebar <-- delete this folder

Now go to C:\Windows\System32 and delete any file that begins like either of these.

    elite
    kalv

You should see exe files, but possibly some .dat or .ocx files also. Delete any that are found.
Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode.

Please run at least two of these online scans.
Make sure they are set to clean automatically

Panda Virus Scan

Bit Defender

TrendMicro Housecall

There may be files that these scans will not remove. Please include that information in your next post.

Reboot and post a new hijackthis log and the info from your virus scans.

Yes, you still have malware in your log. Did you save the log from Trendmicro? It would be helpful to see what it discovered.

Please fix this line with hijackthis.

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [comasc] C:\WINDOWS\System32\comasc.exe

Delete this file.

C:\WINDOWS\System32\comasc.exe

Reboot and post a new hijackthis log.

I strongly recommend that you download and install an antivirus program on your computer. AVG makes an excellent free version of it's antivirus program that can be downloaded from here.

Each time I see your log you have new malware on it.
What kind of connection are you using?
Are you using a firewall?

Please run a scan with BitDefender and post the log back here in your next reply.

I need to see a different type of log from Hijackthis
  • Run Hijackthis.
  • Click on "Open the Misc Tools section".
  • Next click on "Open uninstall manager".
  • Press the button 'save list'. It will open a Notepad file.
  • Place the content of that file here in your in your next post.

Please uninstall this program.

NavHelper

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then close all other windows--you should only see HijackThis on your Desktop--and click the Fix Checked button.
