When I go onto windows the blue screen comes on like normal but then i get an error that says

Explorer.EXE - Application Error

The application failed to anitialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the Application.

If you let it stay for a couple seconds it shows my background but the icons and taskbar don't show. If I click OK it just stays so i have to turn off my computer manually. Before this happened I kept getting a lot of popups saying you have a virus or something in your machine What should I do? It's not really my computer and it has their important stuff on it so I really don't want to have to reinstall everthing. Thanks in advance.

PS: My first post here :tazz:

Please go to the malware forum in my signature and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

Thanks dsenette, I read the malware forum and the CLICK HERE. But all of that requires me to be on Windows, I think. I can't get on windows, just the background shows with nothing else. Is there something I can do without being on windows?
