Hello out there...

I've worked in email programs that allowed you to delete a sent email before the receiver opened it (an "unsend" type thing). Does Outlook or Outlook Express have any similar feature? - where you can avoid embarassment :tazz: from sending someone the wrong note ;)

Thanks for any suggestions!

Hi Tdg

I know in Outlook you can recall a message sent, it will take it out of the person's inbox, if they have not read it yet. Normally it stays in the inbox and another email is sent to that person telling them that you want to recall the message, if they open that one first, the original (recalled) message will be deleted.

I haven't working in Outlook Express in a couple of years, but I think there is a similar feature in that also.... :tazz:

Thanks!

I'm not sure that would help me since there is still an opportunity for them to read it, plus they read that I recalled it - sort of points out the obvious :tazz:

But, at least if it's a terrible mistake - there is a chance they won't see it....

Thanks for answering! ;)

Thats the joys of mistakes, it is like getting an email that the person who sent it to you is asking for a read receipt, if you say yes, they get a notification that you have read their email. If you say no, they still get a notification saying that you said no. :tazz: but you do have to open the email to get the popup!

Yep - either way it's pretty obvious to the receiver - "I'm an idiot" :tazz:

But it does help - at least I have a possibility of getting it back...

Thanks a bunch - have a great weekend! ;)
